Is changing to a CMS worth it PDF Print E-mail
I get asked the question in the title a lot, by clients, by newbies, by sceptics and by just about everyone who still uses static 'brochures' as web sites. The question I ask in return - Is your site making you money, or costing you money? The answer is usually the latter.

Most people spend a certain amount on renewal of domain names, hosting charges and site 'maintenance' with a static site. And they use this awesome media as a glorified mail box. That's right, a way to send and receive email - as that is what large companies seem to be doing.

Well, if you are going to try and use the smarts of 'big business' to try and improve your 'small or medium' business the least you can do is go all the way. Most 'big business' sites come with a whole lot of bells and whistles which you can never replicate with static html or single application tie-ins as you could with a content management system.
